Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels

Your skin is the largest organ of your body and acts as a barrier against our environment and regulates body temperature. Thousands of skin cells die everyday and fall off, only to be replaced by new cells under the skin. As the body ages, skin cell regeneration slows down, leaving dark areas resulting from aging and sun damage. Fine lines start to form and skin becomes dull.

Chemical peels have been used for over a century to control the shedding of damaged skin cells. A solution is applied topically to skin to remove dead skin cells to reveal the new cells underneath. In effect, the older, outer layers of skin are separated and peeled away. New skin cell production is stimulated and skin is tightened to produce a firmer, more youthful complexion. Skin pigmentation is evened out, shallow acne scars are minimized and fine lines/wrinkles are reduced.

A combination of microdermabrasion to exfoliate surface cells and gentle chemical peeling solutions can be very effective to reduce the signs of aging.

A facial is good for maintenance and deep pore cleansing.

Alpha hydroxy is used to exfoliate dead skin cells, vivifying the epidermis. The result is a spectacular decrease in the depth of wrinkles and fine lines. Alpha-hydroxy can also stimulate cell regeneration and acts to clarify the complexion.

How does it work?

Specially blended chemical peels solutions break down the bonds between surface cells. This allows the surface cells to be exfoliated, leaving fresh cells to rise to the surface. The result is a complexion that is smoother and more even in appearance. Blends can address other issues such as acne breakouts, discoloration, and wrinkles.
